When nothing is running
Automation has stopped and it is not clear why. It is almost always one of these cases, and each has a precise fix.
First: look at the top of the screen
If the reason is a known one, Booost writes it in a banner at the top, and that banner cannot be dismissed. That is not stubbornness: a warning you can close is a warning that disappears before it is read. The banner names the reason and carries the button that fixes it.
The six banner messages, and what they want
- "Automation paused" — you paused it yourself from the system tray menu. Undo it from there.
- "Documents to accept" — until you accept the terms, Booost acts towards nobody. No grace period: it is a choice, not a fault.
- "Subscription inactive" — the check asked the server and got a no.
- "Subscription unverifiable" — the service is not answering. The app keeps working for 24 hours from the last successful check, then stops.
- "You are not signed in to Booost" — sign back in and the queue restarts.
- "LinkedIn session expired" — log back in from the Browser page. The account stays the same, you lose nothing.
The two subscription messages do not say the same thing
"Inactive" means the server answered, and said no. There the block is immediate and without grace, because the answer is final.
"Unverifiable" means the server did not answer at all — and then the app gives you 24 hours of autonomy from the last successful check, because a connection dropping is not an expired subscription.
It runs, but publishes nothing
Look under Content. Almost certainly the posts are there, waiting for you to approve them — which is the default behaviour, not a fault.
It runs, but imports no targets
Open Strategy and look at the search's row: if the import stopped, the reason is written underneath it, in an amber notice, and the button is called "Retry".
The most frequent reason is the warm-up read budget: wait ten minutes or so and retry. Nothing needs fixing.
The circuit breaker has tripped
You can see it on the Home page, in the safety section. It opens when LinkedIn shows a risk signal and closes again on its own with time.
A channel (X) says "Session expired" or "Verification requested"
These are not the LinkedIn banner above: they are per-channel, and they show on the channel's own card in My Profile and in Settings → Channels.
- "Session expired" — the same fix as LinkedIn: open the channel and log in again. Nothing is lost; workflows using it resume where they left off.
- "Verification requested" — the platform is asking to confirm you are a person. Open the channel in Browser, complete the check there, then press "I did the check". Until you do, Booost runs nothing automatic on that channel.
